Since July 2026, he has been wirking with Athena as a Senior Advisor. He has over thirty-five years of management experience in the Administration, Finance and Control functions of major industrial groups. His main areas of expertise include Italian and international accounting standards, financial reporting, complex corporate transactions, the transformation of administrative processes, shared services and the innovation of finance processes through the use of new technologies.
He developed most of his professional career within the Enel Group, where he served as Group Chief Accounting Officer from 2005 to 2018. In this role, he led, among other initiatives, the transition to IAS/IFRS and the accounting management of the Group’s main international expansion transactions. As a member of their Boards of Directors, he also contributed to the governance of the Group’s principal Italian companies. From 2018 to 2023, he served as Chief Financial Officer of Enel’s Italian operations and, from 2020 to 2021, also as Sole Director of Enel Logistics, a start-up operating in the logistics and customs warehousing sector. From 2023 to 2025, he was Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of Ferservizi S.p.A., a company of the Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane Group.
For over a decade, he was a member of the Management Boards of the Italian Accounting Standard Setter (OIC) and the Italian Valuation Standard Setter (OIV), as well as a member of the Scientific Committee of the Italian Institute for Corporate Governance (IGS) and the Board of ANDAF, the Italian Association of Chief Financial Officers. Alongside his professional activities, he has maintained an ongoing commitment to academic and executive education in the areas of administration, financial reporting, management control and the innovation of administrative and finance processes.
He is the author of specialist publications on international accounting standards (IAS/IFRS), financial reporting, corporate governance and corporate transactions. He regularly speaks at conferences and seminars on the evolution of the Finance function, corporate governance and the application of Artificial Intelligence to administrative and finance processes.
